At Shepherd’s Table, There’s “Always Room for One More”

Last Sunday, March 30th, over 400 hundred patrons, attendees and sponsors gathered at the Fillmore in downtown Silver Spring in support of The Shepherd’s Table Annual Fundraiser, “Always Room for One More.”  Metro Immediate & Primary Care was a proud sponsor of the event supporting The Shepherd’s Table mission to provide help to the homeless and others in need.  The events featured food, drinks, live entertainment and fun ways to contribute, such as, a silent auction.

Shepherd’s Table is a nonprofit organization located in downtown Silver Spring, supported by volunteers, religious organizations, government, businesses, foundations, and individual donors. They provide those in need with basic services including: meals, social services, medical support, clothing, and other assistance in an effective and compassionate manner.

Run tirelessly by Executive Director, Ms. Jackie Coyle, Shepherd’s Table was able to serve over 50,000 meals to 2,400 people in need through their annual fundraiser last year.  We hope this year was even bigger!

A huge thanks goes out to Jacki and her wonderful team for loyally serving our community and its residents each year.  According to Shepherd’s Table, there are an estimated 11,547 homeless persons in the greater DC Area.
