WASHINGTON, D.C. – Metro Immediate & Primary Care opened its doors this week in northeast Washington, D.C. and offers both urgent and primary health care services. The new clinic is located at 220 L Street NE and is open on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on weekends from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
With a mission statement that emphasizes outstanding patient care, Metro Immediate and Primary Care is leading the way with the meaningful use of electronic medical records that enables speedy communication among health care providers and also between providers and patients.
“At Metro Immediate & Primary Care, we strive to provide excellent care to every patient who walks in the door,” said President, Chris Timm. “We truly want patients to be in touch with our staff and clinicians because we know that an informed patient is a happier and healthier one.” In addition to routine medical care, Metro Immediate & Primary Care treats patients with non-life threatening conditions that require care within 24 to 48 hours. The office provides a wide range of services including HIV and STD testing; vaccinations; routine physicals and well-woman exams; and treatment for cuts and lacerations, sprains and strains, urinary infections, and cold and flu symptoms. “When you’re sick and feeling miserable, the last thing you want to do is to wait for hours in a busy hospital emergency room.
At Metro Immediate & Primary Care, we take pride in providing great care while getting you in and out of the office quickly,” said clinical director, Fatima Khokhar. Metro Immediate & Primary Care is located near the New York Avenue Metro stop on the red line. For more information or to schedule an office visit, visit gwdocsipc.com or call 202-544-7580.
